Same situation appeared in Europe. There is STSRT built by LUFTHANSA, Galileo built by ALITALIA, British Airways, Austrian Airlines, and Swissair, and Amadeus built by Air France, FINNAIR, Air Atlanta, NL Air Liberia and SAS. In the beginning of 1900s, the largest CRS, Galileo, owned 12,500 branches in 9 countries in Europe. In 1959, Great American Airways and IBM developed the earliest computer reservation system named SABRE, which is the first and the most useful application system till now. The initial SABRE set 1008 appointment points in America, it was able to sell 76,000 airline tickets at the same time, and store 600,000 items of passenger record. Turnover through SABRE exceeded 400 million in the 1900s which made itself the biggest CRS in America. After that, other airline companies and global travel agencies began to construct their own CRSes as well considering the rich profit. At present, there are four major global CRS providers, SABRE, GALILEO, AMADEUS, WORLD SPAN; one regional CRS providers, ABACUS; and two area providers, AMADEUS and TOPAZ.
