Balance Scorecard

Balance Scorecard

Select an organization or a department of your choice and develop a Balance Scorecard (BSC) for the organization. This should enable the organization or department to improve its performance.

Balance Scorecard

Identify an organization in the private, public or NGO sector
Collect data and information through interviews, documentary analysis and internet search
Administer questionnaire if necessary (please limit the field work to a minimum. Much of what you have to do can be done in the library)
Develop background information of the organization through the data you have collected above.

Balance Scorecard

Develop BSC matrix for the organization (i.e. the Four Perspectives including Targets, initiatives, measures)

Balance Scorecard

In the report you should provide the following
Introduction (about one and a half pages) describing the organization and the need for BSC, as well as objectives of the report
Brief methodology (about half a page)
Two to three pages of literature on BSC
Proposed BSC matrix for the organization (this should form the bulk of your report (about 70%))
Conclusion.
