What are the barriers to renewable energy implementation in Afghanistan?
project title:
RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY INNOVATION IN AFGHANISTAN – An investigation of potential sustainable renewable energy solutions in rural parts of Afghanistan and identifying and outlining the importance of future renewable energy sources
Use as many references needed.
The project report must be typed, in Times New Roman, with font size 12 pt, in one-and-a-half line spacing on one side of the paper sized A4. the style of writing should be objective but at the same time clear, concise and convincing. One way of conveying objectivity is to consistently use the passive past tense. For example, instead of typing
I developed a 3D model so that I could investigate INCORRECT
It would be grammatically correct to use
A 3D model was developed to investigate CORRECT………………………
Before I explain the order of chapters of the dissertation there are many objectives and aims that need to be answered throughout the dissertation.
What is an estimated cost of supplying renewable energy to rural parts of Afghanistan?
Is it investable and profitable?
What will the security outlook be of renewable energy e.g. is placing solar panels in a designated province in Afghanistan safe (due to Taliban and conflict)?
How will it benefit the economy and the people? (how much will it save)
What are the barriers to renewable energy implementation in Afghanistan?
Identify and outline importance of future renewable sources
Which renewable sources can and cannot be implemented in Afghanistan?
The Methodology should be outlined (how you are going to approach the topic and what are the tools to use)
Chapter outline:
abstract – About 200 words long in the standard format
table of contents – for e.g.
3. Experimental Investigation of an Electromagnet 11
3.1 Experimental Model 11
3.2 Description of the Electromagnet 20
3.2.1 Yoke pair 20
3.2.2 Windings and airgap 22
symbols and abbreviations: All symbols and abbreviations used in the report should be used consistently and should conform to those recognised as standard in the field under discussion.
Chapter 1 introduction – The Introduction, which is an essential part of a project report, should give the background to the work, appreciation of its scope, The Introduction should end with a subsection containing the clearly stated aims and objectives of the project.
chapter 1 – thorough research AND THEORY into existing renewable energy source and comparing each one, CONCENTRATE ON SOLAR AND WIND ONLY FOR AFGHANISTAN AND DISCUSS THAT OTHERS ARE NOT AS VIABLE AND AVAILABLE FOR AFGHANISTAN AND THAT THIS DISSERTATION IS MAINLY ADDRESSING SOLAR AND WIND IN AFGHANISTAN .
FOR SOLAR – Solar energy can be transformed into electricity in two ways, either by directly converting it into electricity through the photovoltaic effect using PV panels or by concentrating solar power and transforming it into heat and produce electricity as a thermal power plant. RESEARCH AND DISSCUSS BOTH WAYS OF SOLAR POWER. (include images and figures please)
For wind power – DISSCUSS THE THEORY OF WIND TECHNOLOGY AND DIFFERENT TYPES OF WIND TECHONOLGY AVAILABLE
CHAPTER 2 – Afghanistans general country overview and outlook (political situation, poverty situation, economy, energy companies etc) and current electricity outlook and electricity situation for e.g. When night falls, most villages in northern Afghanistan are plunged into darkness. By day, smoke rises from the courtyards as many households cook with wood or animal dung, because of no access to the national grid or other energy sources. also address afghanistan current renewable energy projects and sources and situations and discuss it.
Chapter 3 THIS IS THE MAIN CHAPTER AND LONGEST CHAPTER I.E. THE RESULTS CHAPTER
evaluation of solar and wind projects in rural parts of Afghanistan. USE OF TECHNOLOGIES TO BE USED. For e.g. investing in solar powered micro grids. Include many technical aspects and specifications and graphs and images and tables. Include barriers to implementations. i.e. physical risks financial risks security risks, where to implement, political risks., etc. include maps and region areas of project implementation in Afghanistan. Include cash flows and costs and formulaes. Include challeneges to implementing renewable. Include benefits to implementation. Analyse afghanistans energy resource, i.e. is there a lot of wind? Or sun? or other sources that will assist? INCLUDE MARKET SURVEYS IF POSSIBLE. Overview of market potential:
For e.g. SIMILAR TO BELOW if we look at this :
Chapter 4 – THIS CHAPTER SHOULD INCLUDE DISCUSSION OF RESULTS AND OUTLINE THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPLORING AND IMPLEMENTING FUTURE POTENTIAL RENEWABLE SOURCES TO COME TO THE MARKET
Chapter 5 conclusion – Conclusion should briefly summarise the main results obtained in the work by referring to the aims and objectives against, Materials contained in previous sections should not be repeated a lot but any suggestions for further work should be included if appropriate
