The effective management of the change process will lead to organization which will continuously adapt to change forces and successful. Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation(henceforth APSRTC) is the largest bus corporation in India and is state owned based in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with head quarters in Hyderabad and is incorporated in 1958.APSRTC is one of the few profitable road transport corporation in the country. Even though APSRTC is pioneer in Indian bus transposition for its innovation and new services introduces from A/C buses to computerization of its operation it white elephant to state government to overhead costs. APSRTC ferries 14.64 million passengers every day and cover 7.95 million KMs every day. The total passenger transported by APSRTC is equals to passengers transported by Indian railways .It owns 22,222 buses and employs nearly 121,356 and administered with 23 regional mangers and 7 zones. APSRTC being a state owned corporation it has to pass on its profits to customers as reduced fare or no hike in fares. APSRTC covers 95% of bus transport in state of Andhra Pradesh .The revenue generation is done by mainly inter-city, intra-city and rural connectivity where Indian railways cannot provide its services. The fleet utilization in 2011 is 99.46 %, APSRTC occupancy ratio is 72% and the bus staff ratio is 6.10, APSRTC has 210 Bus Depots and runs 7948 routes state wide.
