*Preparation In preparation for Essay 2, you will read Chapters 7-12 in the textbook entitled, Living with Art. *Artistic Concepts You will then choose two artistic concepts, or artistic ideas found in two different chapters (Chapters 7-12 only) that you wish to discuss in Essay 2. *Visual Examples Next, you will locate two visual examples (images of artwork not found in the textbook) from two different fine-art inter-net web sites that clearly exemplify the concepts/ideas that you have chosen for Essay 2. You need to closely relate the concepts/ideas to your visual examples. *Quotations Your Essay 2 will also contain two quotations, one from each of the two chapters containing your concepts, that you feel are most helpful in explaining your concepts/ideas. List the two quotations exactly as they appear in the textbook and give a detailed explanation as to how they help to clarify your concepts/ideas. *Combined Concepts You will identify and discuss in detail (one internet example) how an artist combined both the concepts in one work of art. *Personal Examples Finally, you need to give two personal examples, (one for each concept/idea), from your own life, pop culture, the movies, TV, a museum, any of your lifes experiences, that relate directly to the concepts/ideas you chose. Do not use your inter-net examples from other parts of your Essay as personal examples. Explain in detail the relationship between the main concepts/ideas you chose for your Essay and your personal examples.
