The major paper must be a minimum of 15 pages in the body of the paper (not including reference pages, charts, title page & executive summary) in APA format. This assignment provides students with an opportunity to investigate the subject matter in much greater detail (see Outline below) as you apply literature to the analysis of a specific situation and make recommendations. Since this assignment accounts for 30% of your final grade, you should devote a significant amount of time to the assignment and start EARLY!!! The subject of the paper is management vs leadership.

Outline
I. Literature Review of Management & Leadership (M&L) ? Examine foundational and current literature on the subjects of M&L, it is required that information come primarily from academic & extremely credible professional journals. In other words, find out what is written on these two subjects (7+ full pages).
II. Selected Situation ? Review, in detail, the roles M&L play in your selected discipline. This can include the different roles managers hold, how change takes place, selection process, structure (formal, informal, both), etc. Any aspects of M&L can be explored. (3+ full pages).
III. Application of M&L Theory ? Apply the theory explore in Section I to the situations outlined in Section II for this section explores and analyzes M&L based on the application of research. Students will select one or more theories and apply them to the selected situation including application of new and emerging theory covered in Section I, as well as recommendations (5+ full pages).
