Strategic Canvas Overview
The strategy canvas (Appendix A) analyzes three accounting software programs: Quicken, Sage One, and Zoho Books using the following competitive alternative factors and rankings from low 1 to a high 10:
Each accounting software program has a unique set of features, which sets them apart from their competitors. Quicken features are minimizing taxes, mobility, investments, and easy access to accounts. Sage One features are more accounting functions (i.e. invoices, bank integration, payroll, reports, and statements), project tracking, able to use multi currencies, and links to other add-ons (i.e. PayPal and other payment solutions). Zoho Books features are real-time inventory tracking, cloud-based accounting, and mobility. Both Quicken and Zoho Books lack the payroll module, which reduce their competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Each accounting software program has the ability to integrate to other software programs (i.e. Excel, Report Writers, External Payment Systems, and Tax Software) Zoho Books has the ability to integrate to other external payments like PayPal, Authorize.net and PayPal Payflow. Sage One has integration to PayPal and Sage Payment Solutions. Quicken integrates to other products and services offered by Intuit but not to any external payment options.
Zoho Books has the best compatibility to other device platforms like Android, IPhone-IPad, Mac, Windows, Windows Phone and Web-based. Quicken integration factor is average because it is not web-based or Windows Phone compatible. Sage One has more integration to other devices than Quicken but does not have the Windows Phone capabilities like Zoho Books.
Each software program has a target market. Quicken target market are freelancers, large enterprises, mid-size business, and small business. Sage One target markets are freelancers, and small business. Zoho Books target markets are freelancers, mid-size business, and small business. Quicken has better brand awareness in the marketplace then the other two software companies.
All three accounting software provide customer support to their customers. Zoho Books provides FAQs, forum, knowledge based articles, online support, and phone support. Quicken only provides online support and phone support. Sage One only provides online support and video tutorials. By far, Zoho Books has more customer support resources to help the customer with any software issues that may arise.
Both Zoho Books and Sage One accounting software program use the per person license fee structure to access the web-based software program which range from free to $9.00 per person per month, which is higher than Quicken because Quicken is an actual downloaded program with one person license included for a total of $49.95. Customer may choose to upgrade each year to maintain the accounting software. Quicken has the most price value for the customer.

You have the right idea about the tools and concepts, however, you could have conducted more research into the attributes of Quicken. Intuit’s Mint online product took over for Quicken Online and offers an web based version. In addition, there is a Quicken App in the Apple AppStore so I have to conclude that the product is available across other devices.

Target Market is not an attribute of the product and should not be in the Strategy Canvas. Perhaps you meant suitability for the target market
