Order Description

At the beginning of the course, students choose a health behavior that they would like to adopt, quit, or improve in 8 weeks. You completed the “Health Behavior Change Contract” in the text and submit it to the instructor during the second week of class. Over the course of the term, you must keep a weekly journal about your progress towards changing this behavior and can use charts, pictures, etc. to keep track of your progress. Students have to pick up one health behavior which are offered in the textbook, apply for your health related behaviors during the semester .This can be as simple as describing the theory in relation to your particular behavior change you are describing in the behavior change project. Ultimately, you must write a 5-page paper describing your behavior change process. Please note that the 5 pages required for the paper refers to your paper content; as such, your reference page and title page do not count toward the 5 pages. The paper must be in any academic writing formats (e.g., APA or MLA etc.), and should be organized as described below: 75 points total.
a) Title page: Name, date, and title of behavior change (does not count toward 5 page total) (5 points)
b) Section 1 (2 pages): Current research on your health behavior (description, links to diseases, prevalence, maintenance, benefits of changing the behavior, etc.). You must use at least 2 research articles from peer-reviewed journals. (10 points)
c) Section 2 (1 page): Why did you choose this health behavior? Did you make any progress over the duration of the class? What was difficult about changing the behavior? What strategies did you use? What helped you in changing this behavior? What are some long-term benefits of changing this behavior for you? (10 points)
d) Section 3 (1 page): apply for your health related behaviors during the semester .This can be as simple as describing the theory in relation to your particular behavior change you are describing in the behavior change project (20 points).
f) Section 4 (1 page): Provide a summary of your journal entries and any thought/emotional process you went through during the 8-week period. You may also include your tracking charts, pictures, etc. in this section. (20 points)
g) Final Page: References. Must be APA format, and remember that your reference page does not count toward the total required page number. You must include at least four total references. Two of these four references MUST be research articles from peer-reviewed journals. Details about this will be explained in class. (10 points)
